Giving All Kids Hope
Research shows that LGBTQ+ youth enter the foster care system for many of the same reasons as other youth in care; such as abuse, neglect, and parental substance abuse. However, many of these youth have the added layers of trauma that comes with being rejected or mistreatment because of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Our Mission
At A Joyful Place, our mission is to provide all kids and distinctively, adolescents in the LGBTQ community with care in a structured, safe, inclusive, and family-like environment through mentorship, spiritual, educational and emotional guidance & counseling to help meet the needs of children in crisis who must be away from their own homes.

Our core values guide the organization in our ongoing pursuit in providing our youth with personal development tools to prepare each for success which include, focusing on empowering and uplifting our youth, being honest and ethical in everything we do, and to always inspire our youth in remaining curious, creative and kind.
